Yes, that soliloquy was a tough one. I found myself wanting to tone that down - it's evocative in all the right ways for all the wrong reasons. It takes you to a dark place.

Thing is, that's precisely how racism impacts me. That's not hyperbole - I am a survivor, and do not make that connection for shock value. I make the association because I live with both.

And I say "no." I. Am. DONE.
