Yes - I agree that that is how it truly feels.

As to the first, there was no interrogation b/c cops could get no where near him. Not even close, even if he agreed to it. The Union rules put in buffer absolutes - dpt X shall not speak w/cop for x number of days; shall not speak w/o Y present, and so on. MPD fired Chauvin w/in 24h - that was the ballgame as far as getting to him for interrogations.

As to the 2nd, if the cop factor wasn't a factor, I'd largely agree.

As to my point, on principal I can't cheer for confessions even when it's a bad guy I hate. I've seen the sausage-making. The meat is almost invariably rancid.

Back to you, would that we got the kid gloves he got - 100% agree. With everything that makes me me.
