I believe King disagrees with the concept as a matter of routine but that this particular speech is a message to White America.

I’m telling you about King and the issues in play when he spoke.

You’re telling me about the words and their general application. You interpret this as if it existed in a vacuum. I mean no disrespect, but it’s why it’s so misinterpreted. I teach it about the era, so I study this man in immersion. Not casually. Professionally. I teach race and law. We aren’t going to agree, but we don’t have to.

But I am well reminded about WHY I don’t do this on line!
