There is a lot of value here, though - in the fact that you think about rephrasing. One thing we learn in law school is that those who write their class notes generally do better than those who type. This is b/c we distill and write b/c we cannot, of course, write at speech speed.

The distillation is the your opening gambit, and rephrasing is ACTIVE. It requires you to hear and remap to other words and feelings. Can't do that w/o digesting my message first.

So that's a win for us both I think.
