And I agree as well, both with the younger you and the experienced you. I think there are may ways we can be receptive. But at the root of each is a sometimes even subconscious list of procs and cons we run to gauge HOW receptive. The White Ally universe seeks to do an end run around some of that, and can react - sometimes violently - to "no one invited your engagement." It's an affront, where MOST would think it offensive to intrude.

I cannot accept that as a pre-friend condition. If it comes to that, I think WAs should keep the "friendship." Let's go back to the regular way of interacting as decent strangers - growing up anything more than that in a natural and mutually earned way.
