LOL. I know of “wanker.” It just has this seedy feel with a twist so that, while not entirely suitable for polite company, it’s not too far out to “cheeky" to drop it on the occasion.

I know why signalling isn’t on my radar. I’m not a fan of social media. In fact, I just opened a Twitter yesterday, and only because of what I’m doing here. I suspect I’ve missed a lot. Happily.

I’m impressed with myself that I knew HP/JKR , though. That’s (entertainment related news) not “news” I typically follow. This thing here with her is a bit more than that. More importantly, I’m fascinated with how Rollings keeps running, face first, into walls.

That very phenomenon — creating a moat around the “haves” using the bodies of the “kinda haves nots” to keep the “truly have nots” at bay — was the clever plan that severed indentured servants from slaves. The American model of “monarchy of the haves” was borne. And, not a moment to soon — the hungry and enslaved were combining power and the patricians was about to get well and truly . . . err, hosed, the wankers.
