I'm totally not being funny with the highlighting. After, one by one, highlighting the first three lines of para one, I realized your whole cha cha here is an excellent description, a perfectly captured tug of war around introspection. Your focus was on point - you are contemplating you, not me. Your voice is powerful, your message is clear.

I love ALL of this.

I find myself repeating that I'm FASCINATED with this hunger to unpack this. And I do not speak of Black readers - I think we're all sitting at the bar drinking mimosas in the "I am soooo done with this" section. I speak of White readers.

What I find MOST fascinating, and most hopeful frankly, is that you are turning to EACH OTHER and having this conversation. Our entire model of race relations is predicated on White folks studying Black folks, seeking Black counsel, looking for Black affirmation.

Hand to God, the whole of Team White just benched me. The White-to-White engagement is breathtaking, and y'all have this on lock. Soooo . . . we're gonna go kick it in Seychelles for a few months. We'll be back - let us know what y'all come up with, ok?

Joking aside - you have a voice and a message and I hope you lean in with both. I hope you step in, I hope you step up, I hope you LEAD.
