I'm still driven to change the mentality, and this is why. White Allyship is community service. Great things can be done through community service. Recovering from addiction or overcoming (or learning to avoid) being abusive aren't among them.
Racism simply needs to be returned home. All of it. The burden, the consequences, the whole cha cha. We won't make progress until that happens.
