I was writing an essay on an race relations in the context of social engagement. In it, I had to raise some very difficult things — thing I have yet to see people outwardly contemplate. To muster the courage, I watched Selma over and over again. I watched the story of people refusing to accept these egregious social norms.

Everytime I got anxious, I played Glory, and reminded myself what a true stakeholder has a duty to do. I finally finished — published it here, actually.

John Lewis will inform and mentor us for decades to come.
