I want you to know that after I responded below, I thought about this. I was writing a different piece, but got to thinking on how much I respected what you did here.

So I wrote about that, because it is important that we speak all of our truths.

Here is mine: you carried yourself very well here. I do not mean to sound patronizing, and apology if I do. Please know that is not my intent at all.

I say the same thing, in effect, in what I write. I copied that below. I will tag you in the piece, as I always do when I raise another. And, if I remember, I will return here and drop a link.

"And just like that, he was human. He heard. He wondered. He stepped outside of himself. He sought a perspective not of his own making. He took a risk. He exposed his underbelly. He was just a guy. And he showed a lot more courage and self-control then I may have in similar circumstances. I respect that. Very much so."
