I think about this a LOT around VP Harris. We have been vilified, demeaned, condescended to, fetishized, objectified, & on & on. And, we have walked NOTHING back.

Nor will we.

And that is The Black Woman: We are:

~"Take your best shot, darlin, but *don't miss.*"

~"You got the best of me. Now, it's time you get the rest of me."

~The living manifestation of the Terminator - the person has yet to be born who can bring us to our knees.

Or Oprah in The Color Purple - I may go down, but the only way to keep me there is to kill me there.

And I love watching Harris move in that space with zero apology. No one knows what to do with a Black woman in power, and watching that is a beautiful thing indeed.
