Hm. I’ve always thought of the differently. Not like it’s something you have. Like it’s something you DON’T have. Or, something others are born being given.

I don’t know if that makes sense.

SOMETHING YOU DON’T HAVE: as in, no one is giving you blocks to stand on. They are not putting them in your way. You don’t have the obstacles.

GIVEN TO YOU: It’s not YOU who yeilds to your authority. Others do in ways they won’t for non-Whites.

Either way, and this will get me kicked off of Team Black for sure, this one feels like the solution isn’t in you because the defect isn’t. It’s us. Not exactly, but something like that.
