Alejandro, Clay - this is one of the many reasons why I reject the term "ally" - whole cloth. It's an invitation to begin a engagement based on a presumption that, in every other scenario, is incrementally earned through the actor's conduct, and validated as a trust block through the recipient's personal needs and filters.

That ground level building block is CRUCIAL to the natural and genuine development of bond through commonality. It's a disservice to both people to check that box presumptively going in. It's like an arranged marriage. We know why those largely don't work, right?

Pan the label for the sake of the American race id. We truly won't progress past a certain point until we do.
